Fraternities + Sororities
Since 1906, the Temple University fraternity and sorority community has been a vibrant part of campus life. Today Temple University’s fraternity and sorority community have grown to consist of 28 chapters belonging to 4 councils, and over 1,600 undergraduate members. These organizations create smaller communities within the larger university environment.
Four core values guide the experiences offered to students within fraternity/sorority life: leadership development, academic achievement, community engagement, and friendship for life. The creeds and rituals that guide each individual organization are based on values that foster an understanding of community and social responsibility.
The Office of Student Activities serves as a liaison between the greater Temple University community, recognized fraternities and sororities and their inter/national organization. We are dedicated to the holistic development of students throughout their fraternal experience and welcome you to explore involvement in fraternity and sorority life at Temple University.
