Fraternities + Sororities
Since 1906, the Temple University fraternity and sorority community has been a vibrant part of campus life. Today Temple University’s fraternity and sorority community has grown to consist of 28 chapters belonging to 4 councils, and over 1,600 undergraduate members. These organizations share the same core values and create smaller communities within the larger university environment.
Through fraternity or sorority involvement, students gain an opportunity for leadership development, academic support, community service, friendship, and social growth. The creeds and rituals that guide each individual organization are based on values that foster an understanding of community and social responsibility.
Student Activities serves as a liaison between recognized fraternities and sororities and the greater Temple University community. We are dedicated to the holistic development of students throughout their fraternal experience and welcome you to explore the possibilities offered by involvement in fraternity and sorority life at Temple University.
