The Student Org Database (also known as Symplicity) is used to electronically keep track of all our registered Student Organizations. This page should give you guidance as to how to navigate and utilize the site. If you are still stuck, we offer workshops that go through this information, so check out the Workshop Calendar for details!

To see your orgs, click on “Student Groups”. You’ll see all the orgs listed of which you are a member. In order to make changes, you must have Group Admin status for that particular organization. If you do not have Group Admin status, but need to make changes, anyone who does can add you as a Group Admin.
Items that MUST to be correct and up to date:
- Group Details
- Members
- Documents
Group Details – Click on the Edit button to make changes. Once completed, click Save
Members – To email the members of your organization, you can either click on Mail then Send Message and follow the instructions or you can export your members to an excel spreadsheet and cut and paste their email addresses into an email. Click on Save as Excel and export the Entire List.
Current Members: To add a member, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on “Add/Invite a Student”. Make sure that when adding the member, you change the default Status from Invited to either Active or Group Admin. You can type in their TU user ID or their name, then click Save. To remove or edit a member, click on the magnifying glass next to their name. You will see your options listed above.
Interested Students: Students who are interested in joining your organization will be listed here. You are able to either email them or add them as members, whichever works best for your org, but make sure you are checking this tab weekly for new members!
Documents – This is where your Constitution needs to be uploaded. Additionally, you should be uploading any documents pertaining to the STARS Challenge (or Diamond program for the Greeks) such as your Inclusivity Statement and your Collaboration Documentation.
Looking for a Group
Click on “Student Groups” tab then “Find a Group to Join”.
You can do an advanced find by Keyword and/or type of organization. To find out more information about the organization, click on the org name. Most orgs will have their Facebook page (or other websites) listed, as well as when their meetings take place
To contact the org or for more information, you can either click on the President’s name to shoot them an email or you can click on the “Show Interest” button.
You can only view the Member list of an org in which you are a Member, but you should be able to view all other information about the organization.
